What are the best kind of false nails to do yourself at home?

Acrylic, gel... it is very expensive to get them done professionally where I live. Whats the easiest way to make them look good myself as I bite my nails and I have no official beauty therapy training.What are the best kind of false nails to do yourself at home?
Acrylics and gels are really tough to do yourself even when you have all of the tools (like a drill, the right files, etc.), chances are you don't have those supplies, so I'd just get those stick-on nails from a drug store. They won't last as long, but they do look good for a couple of days and a cheap enough to do fairly often during the month.What are the best kind of false nails to do yourself at home?
