What are the white things on your nails?

OK what are the white tips on ur nails?


I really want to know what they are


They are totally natural just come and like on one hand the white tip is thick and on the other the tips are thin.


But does naybody know where they come from?What are the white things on your nails?
They are bruses, from hitting your nails on something.What are the white things on your nails?

were located on each tip for ';Mannacures'; ect ! plus part

Yes! its all protein. Thats what happens to the protein your body can't use. It gets put into your nails and hair. It just depends on how much protein you eat how long they are.
I've heard the white spots come from a nutrient deficiency. I don't have them, but I did when I was a child and did not eat well.
They are indicative of a zinc deficiency.
the white part of your nail is not pressed on your skin and the part thats not white is pressed on your skin
They are from lack of calcium... You need to drink more milk!!... and let them grow out.. itll take about 8 monthes
There are many reasons for this white spots. Most of them are due to mild traumas such as slamming your nail against something . It could be caused for the use of nail's hardeners or polish enamels or fake nails.Also could be lack of zinc or protein. Another reason could be psoriasis. My advise to you is this white spots don't disappears in the next two weeks you should see a dermatologist.
If you are talking about the little spots on you nailbed itsself, that is called leukonika(sp) which comes from pinching or hurting your nailbed. If your talking about the tip thats the free edge where your nail has grown away from your finger and the difference in thickness is because of how it grows may be related to damages, medicine, or numerous other things. Your nails and hair do not grow from calcium like your teeth and bones, they are made up of keratin!
They are actually called lucunicia - and are bruises where you have pinched are smashed a finger prior to the nail growing out.
