My nails are very damaged. Is there anything that anyone could recommend to get my nails healthy looking again. What product is good to use after having acrylic nails removed?
Poor you, you must have gotten them ripped off if they're damaged :(
1. Solar Oil 3 times a day
2. Polish with ';Toughen Up'; Base coat by CND
3. Don't rip them off next time! Go to a properly trained technician and have him/her soak it off in acetone
Hope that helps %26lt;3What product is good to use after having acrylic nails removed?
Burts Bees lemon/lime cuticle oil. It's amazing, and smells really good. Then use a Sally Hansen Nail Repairer polish to top it off.

What is the most conservative way to do your nails for a job interview?
I have a job interview with the Army JAG Corps and I need to look as conservative and professional as possible. I am going to pull my hair back and wear a muted, neutral skirt suit with pearl earrings.
But what color should I do my nails? Should I get a pale pink, a bright red, a french manicure, or just paint them clear? I am interviewing for a legal position and legal employers always say their interviewees are not conservative enough. So what is the most conservative way to do your nails?
I need to look like Margaret Thatcher, basically.
Also, would you wear an american flag pin with your suit if you were interviewing for a civilian job with the military?
Any other advice on how to look as conservative %26amp; professional as possible at a job interview would be welcome. Thanks! What is the most conservative way to do your nails for a job interview?
Well groomed, clear polish, or pale pink. Nails no longer the 1/2 inch past the finger tip. 23 Years of military experiance. What is the most conservative way to do your nails for a job interview?
french mani or pale pink
trim your nails fairly short, rounded and with a french manicure. this still makes you looked groom but not like your going to walk down the street after your interview and hit the club.
The way to go is DEFINATELY the clear french manicure. Nothing else, it will do the trick!
The nail line should be clean and the color should be as sublte as possible.
As for the pin, I wouldnt it looks like your trying too hard. Keep your makeup clean and simple.
Other than that, you sound prepared.
pale pink
a short french manicure is best for looking conservative, more conservative would be a plain buff with no polish. Flag pin, ok, if tasteful. good luck, hope this helps
Simple, pink nails are the best. French manicure almost looks ghetto. And a conservative pin is fine, but please do not wear an american flag pin. It is not very professional.
weeelll
red will not do. Red makes you look classic yet not as if you want this job. A french Manicure WiLL do because it makes it looks soft and innocent. It makes you look like a Pro
Paint your nails clear and yes wear the pin.....also don't wear very high pencil thin heels, it won't look very conservative.
hold the pin. they take that as tacky. i would go with a neutral or french, but a very subtle pink is very sleek also
Flag would be cliche, ridiculous and childish. French is the most classy conservative way. Wear minimizer bras if you have big ones to look more conservative, and a long skirt suit, with simple NEVER HIGH-HEEL classy shoes.
I would suggest wearing your nails short with just a clear coat of polish on them. If you have the money and time I'd stop in for a quick manicure, have the manicurist push your cuticles back, buff your nails, and give them a nice coat or two of polish. Seems to me that the most conservative women I've met always have plain nails. As to the American flag on your suit....I definitely would add one, as long as it's simple and classic looking, not one of those plastic blinking light ones, lol....but you already knew that :)
Your ideas are perfect. Nails: should be SHORT and either pale, pale pink, almost colorless, obviously matte. But not ';pink-pink'; - but instead a pale PINK/BEIGE. NOT RED OR FRENCH!!!
Yes, wear the American flag pin; the President wears it, you should too!!
clear, french manicure or another very pale color, not red.

What kind of nails are those that they sell in stores? How do you do them?
Is it better to go get your nails done or get the kind out of the stores in the packages? What kind of nails are those that they sell in stores? How do you do them?
Get your nails done by a professional. It costs more but looks so much better and will last longer. If you are only going to use them for one night then try the store bought ones and practice before you need them.
The downside is the condition of your nails if you get the professional one removed. What kind of nails are those that they sell in stores? How do you do them?
getting them done is always better, they last alot longer but they do cost alot more, but they wont fall off till they grow alot....store bought however will fall off in a few days but they are alot cheaper, if you do buy store bought ones make sure they come with a bottle of glue(for replacing broken ones etc. ) and because press on ones suck!
Fake nails? I would suggest getting them done in a salon. They really damage your nails a lot, since you have to use nail glue. If you do a lot of work around the house they will fall off easily. Once I put fake nails on and when I took them off part of my nail chipped off. (Yes, I mean skin-colored part)
Get your nails done from the Nail Salon is better then the store ones....I get my Nails done every 2 -3 weeks at the Nail Salon ...i get Tips
If you only want to wear them for a few days then get them at the store. I do that when I want to wear my nails long and polished black(I'm not a goth guy, just think it's cool)
Get them done! It is sooo hard to do them alone, trust me, especially with no training.
The ones at the store are hard to put on without help and can really damage your nails. Plus they often look cheap unless you get really good ones. Best bet is to go to the nail salon. If you're looking to not spend a lot, just get simple acrylic tips that are put on profesionally. They look really good and run about $27 in NY
Well, they come in 1 penny, 2 penny, etc. and you drive them in with a hammer. I usually have to put them in a sack myself. You can buy little finishing nails pre-packaged.

Please keep in mind I got them on three days ago for an occasion but I play soccer and do not wish for them to stay on for my game tomorrow. What is the easiest way to remove acrylic fake nails?
u have to go back and pay money to get them off
my friend had that and she pulled them off and they hurt her like crazy
she was screaming in gym class and it really ruined her nails
depending on how long they are i say keep them. its a waste of money for them to take it off.
y would u get it done if you would want to take them off in 3 days.. nevermind i just re-read it. you should of just got a manicure or something
unless you want crazy pain i say keepthemWhat is the easiest way to remove acrylic fake nails?
oh that is going to hurt since they are so fresh, all the nail tech will do is soak in acetone for a while then take off with they clippers. so i would go to the beauty store gets some acetone and nail clippers and it will come off. without having to pay a tech to do it. you can do it yourself at home while watching t.v.

How can I break the habit of biting my nails?
I really want to let my nails grow out, but I'm constantly biting them. What is a good way to break this habit? How can I break the habit of biting my nails?
Carry a nail file at all times. I find that I bite a tiny bit then my nail is bumpy on the end and I'll bite it untill it's straight and smooth... which end sup being really short, if you have a file then when it happens you can sort it quickly.
Also try to keep pretty paint on your nails... sometimes that stops me because I dont want to ruin it.
Acrylic is an option because you cant bite your nails then.. but they do ruin your nails underneith.
My beauty teacher told us biting your nails is worse than licking a toilet seat, so think of that everytime you do it! lolHow can I break the habit of biting my nails?
Some people told me to get a worry stone or something to keep my hands busy when i get nervous or feel like biting my nails....it didn't work. I finally learned to break the habit on my own by putting on nail polish and when i felt like picking at my nails, i picked at the polish instead. Or when i stuck my fingers in my mouth to chew off my nails, i got a mouthful of nail polish. My friend suggested that you coat your nails in hot sauce or perfume (she likes hot sauce...she had to find something else that tasted bad) and so when you put your finger nail in your mouth, get a nasty taste in your mouth and decide it's not worth the bad taste to chew your nail. Then after a while, you break the habit =D
you can sometimes just try to resist (thats how i got out of it)
you can put nail polish on them (it always has that weird taste)
you can clip your nails real short
sometimes you could just grow out of it
hope it helps.. good luck!
i wouldn't put tape or anything on them but every time u bite them u have to give your self a punishment (eg. give $0.25 back to your parents from your allowance, pinch yourself really hard, or put nail polish on them that smells or tastes bad. Hope that helps.
i put tape on my fingers for a week.
and after a week i like stopped having that urge to bite them =p

How can you make a bunch of nails stick to one nail without the help from anything else?
(ex: no glue, tape, etc.)
I'm trying to figure that out.
So, there's a nail that is hammered into a block of wood. We have to try to take a bunch of other nails (like 10 or something) and make it all balance on top of the single nail.
How do I do that? How can you make a bunch of nails stick to one nail without the help from anything else?
Make them magnetic. You can do that by pointing one end north, and hitting the other end with a hammer, for every nail. But it doesn't work every time. How can you make a bunch of nails stick to one nail without the help from anything else?
Yeah, Tori has it right. But you have to do it the same way porcupines copulate: Very carefully.

use a buffer and clear nail polish. thats about all you can do for now.How do you repair fingernails after you remove acrylic nails?

I just removed my artificial nails too. There are some great products that you can use to get your nails back to full health after freeing them from artificial nails/wraps/acrylics.
Nailtiques is a great brand to try. It's a bit pricey -- running between $7-$10 a bottle. I am using Sally Hansen's ';Nail Protex.'; That one's a bit cheaper -- running about $4 per bottle.
Both of these products are excellent, available in drugstores like CVS, and will help to strengthen and repair your nails back to where they were before artificial nails came into your life.
Believe me, I know what you're dealing with. I can say that I am very happy with the Sally Hansen Protex. Within three days, my nails felt thicker and stopped hurting from the artificial nail removal.
Good luck!
use a filer, and file on the surface of your nails.
then get a clear top coat and paint it over :)
I just gotta say, thanks for this question, I can tell one of my acrylic nails is about to fall off any day now haha :D x
